Stacy Tuschl is a speaker, business coach, and the owner of The Academy of Performing Arts in Wisconsin. She is the author of the book “Is Your Business Worth Saving?” where she reveals proven strategies for pulling entrepreneurs out of a rut and launching them toward business success.

So many times I see people look at successful entrepreneurs and just assume they were an overnight success. Not only that, we think that they ended up where they are today because they had 100% clarity on where they wanted to go and had no stumbling blocks along the way. But that's just simply not the case, and today's guest is a perfect example!

I am so excited to introduce you to a good friend and SBHE Live 2019 speaker, Jordan Lee Dooley. Jordan is the host of the SHE podcast (which just hit over one million downloads) and author of Own Your Everyday, but it didn't start here. It actually started about 5 years ago in her sorority room storage closet hand-lettering products for her brand new Etsy shop.

It's funny, because we think that in order to be successful there is a straight and narrow path to lead us there, but it's just the opposite! It's like a roller coaster ride with ups and downs and twists and turns that lead us step by step in our journey…. IF we don't give up! I'm so excited for you to hear Jordan's story and how she has ended up where she is today.

“All because of a little shop that I started in college…” At minute 0:35 Jordan is telling us her back story, how she got where she is today, how she started her own business and how she became an influencer. Hear if gaining a following scared or excited Jordan when it first started happening.

“Things can happen somewhat quickly if we take action …” At 8:26 Jordan tells us how quickly this all happened for her and if it was a lot of trial and error or not. Hear where Jordan was putting most of her time, the places she was showing up and her content strategy.

“I had no idea what I wanted to write a book on…” At minute 15:00, we dive into how Jordan's book came to life. Jordan talks about how she uses 3 things: motivate, educate and captivate people to reach an audience in an authentic way.

“It serves the bigger mission at hand…” At  25:38, Jordan and I talk about how she decided to start a podcast and what made her decide it was the next place for her to go. Plus, how she launched her podcast with a launch team!

If you want to connect more with Jordan, you can find her on social @jordanleedooley. Be sure to check out her book coming out in May! You can preorder it here, and check out her podcast, SHE podcast!
