Netflix co-founder and former CEO, Marc Randolph, joined me in this week’s episode of Foot Traffic. Our conversation was beyond inspiring and Marc shared so much about what it means and what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.

You’ll especially want to listen to his explanation of why owning a successful business – like Netflix – isn’t simply about having a good idea.

Some key takeaways from this conversation.

  • What it really means to be the visionary of your business.
  • The real questions to ask to stay innovative.
  • How to handle objections.
  • The (surprising) difference between a “start-up” and a well-established business.

Marc Randolph is a veteran Silicon Valley entrepreneur, advisor, and investor. As co-founder and founding CEO of Netflix, he laid much of the groundwork for a service that’s grown to 150 million subscribers, and fundamentally altered how the world experiences media.

He also served on the Netflix board of directors until retiring from the company in 2003. He’s founded or co-founded six other successful startups, mentored hundreds of early stage entrepreneurs, and as an investor has helped seed dozens of successful tech ventures (and just as many unsuccessful ones).

I know after this episode you’ll be ready to see the big picture vision of your business from a whole new perspective. More importantly, I hope it gives you the motivation to keep trying!
